Sunny Beach is located on the southern Bulgarian Black Sea coast, about 30 km from the regional center Burgas, 100 km from Varna and 3 km from the ancient town of Nesebar. It lies on a wide bay opening to the east. The resort is nestled between the Balkan Mountains to the north and the picturesque town of Nesebar to the south, blending mountains and sea in harmony.
The coastline stretches 8 km in length and is 30–60 meters wide, covered with fine golden sand and natural sand dunes.
