SVETI VLAS

Sveti Vlas is situated on the eastern slopes of the Stara Planina (Balkan Mountains), close to the Black Sea coast. The resort town occupies the northern part of the Nesebar Bay, located just 10 km from Nessebar, close to the largest Bulgarian resort – Sunny Beach, and 38 km from Burgas International Airport.

The unique combination of sea and mountain creates an exceptionally mild and healthy climate. Sheltered by the mountains from northern winds, the town is graced with refreshing sea breeze and crystal-clear air, which have a beneficial effect on people suffering from asthma and other respiratory issues. The favorable climate makes Sveti Vlas suitable for year-round recreation and health tourism.

The beautiful south-facing beaches of Sveti Vlas attract visitors with their fine golden sand, crystal-clear waters, and stunning views of the Old Town of Nesebar and the sea stretching endlessly along the horizon. Each beach has its own unique charm – from quiet areas perfect for family relaxation to lively zones with water attractions and sports activities. The Central Beach is the most popular – wide, well-maintained, and lined with restaurants, cafés and entertainment venues.

Modern family hotels and guesthouses provide all the amenities needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. A variety of restaurants, cafés, and snack bars enhance the town’s lively atmosphere and offer guests a true taste of the coast. Sveti Vlas enchants visitors with its traditional Bulgarian hospitality, cozy ambiance, and promise of unforgettable seaside experiences. Here, you’ll find plenty of opportunities – water sports, sailing, mountain and coastal walks –that turn every stay in Sveti Vlas into a true adventure for every taste.

The official Feast Day of Sveti Vlas, celebrated every year on May 2, is a special day for the locals and visitors of this Black Sea town. On this date, they celebrate their community, with festivities that combine tradition, culture, and entertainment.
